It was wonderful meeting all of you Sunday night. Thank you for your
help and encouragement to make this event happen and to Avital Fux and
her team from the IAC for their partnership including the venue,
helping and supervising from start to finish, to the Israeli House and
Israeli Consulate for their encouragement and support; Dan Marshall
who prepared the flyer who wears many hats; Amnon Benabu for all the
unique Moroccan foods and Molfetta as well as the decorations; Claire
for her help at the last moment. Thank you Angela Schatz- who dropped
everything, brought her music and speakers and was ready to fill in
with Mizrahi style and dance in case our musicians could not make it
in time;Efraim Hain- my longtime friend-who is always there for us as
security and more. Pre-event, I thank my volunteers for their work on
Facebook, emails and phone calls: Linden, Minha, Kamilla, Sangeeta,
and Tiffany. I also thank Eric Peterson for maintaining the web page.
It was absolutely marvelous watching how an event that had been
planned for a month, actually took shape, came together and
succeeded. All because of your efforts, your help and your willingness
to commit yourselves truly shows that we ARE "Am Yisrael Echad" - One
Community, One People.
Thank you to all of you from the deepest part of my soul for not only
volunteering, but for doing it with graciousness, with excitement and
with enthusiasm. For approaching your assignments seriously but always
with a smile and a sense of humor, I thank you and I feel blessed for
having worked with you.
And finally, last but not least to our Moroccan musician team. After
their difficult journey from NY, Michelle Amar and Michel Cohen came
with their full energy and happiness which immediately touched
everyone.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you, to those you came from the North
Shore, South Shore, Mosaic and all of you wherever you came from. Hope
to see you at another event soon.
B'Shalom
